Saint Laurent invites qualified students to join its Paris headquarters as a Merchandising Assistant, supporting the development and execution of retail merchandising strategies for the iconic leather goods category. The successful candidate will conduct market analysis, optimize product assortment and visual presentation, and prepare detailed performance reports whilst collaborating closely with design, marketing, and retail teams.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of retail merchandising strategies for the leather goods category
- Conduct market analysis and competitor research to inform product positioning and assortment planning
- Support the creation and maintenance of visual merchandising standards across retail points of sale
- Collaborate with retail teams to optimize product placement, inventory levels, and in-store presentation
- Prepare detailed merchandising reports and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint
- Monitor retail performance metrics and provide insights on sales trends and customer preferences
- Contribute to seasonal collection rollouts and promotional activities
- Support cross-functional teams including design, marketing, and sales
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Business, Fashion, Merchandising, Economics, or a related field
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Strong proficiency in Excel including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint
- Demonstrated analytical mindset with keen interest in numbers and business performance
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive work style
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
