Saint Laurent seeks a Merchandising Assistant Intern in Paris to support leather goods retail merchandising strategy, analysis, and execution.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of retail merchandising strategies for the leather goods category
- Conduct market analysis and competitor research to inform product positioning and assortment planning
- Support the creation and maintenance of visual merchandising standards across retail points of sale
- Collaborate with retail teams to optimize product placement, inventory levels, and in-store presentation
- Prepare detailed merchandising reports and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint
- Monitor retail performance metrics and provide insights on sales trends and customer preferences
- Contribute to seasonal collection rollouts and promotional activities
- Support cross-functional teams including design, marketing, and sales
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Business, Fashion, Merchandising, Economics, or a related field
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Strong proficiency in Excel including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint
- Demonstrated analytical mindset with keen interest in numbers and business performance
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive work style
