Saint Laurent Fabric Purchasing Internship in Paris: 6-month assistant buyer position supporting luxury textile sourcing and supply chain coordination.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist fabric buyers throughout the procurement and purchasing process for seasonal collections (WW26, WCR27, WSU27, MSP27)
- Provide comprehensive support to the lining fabric buyer including research, orders, and administrative tasks for designated collections
- Manage dyeing orders for lined fabrics, negotiating pricing and lead times with suppliers
- Ensure receipt and accurate completion of technical specification sheets for all fabrics, with proper data entry into the product lifecycle management (PLM) system
- Maintain and regularly update raw materials databases and PLM with complete technical information pertaining to all textile materials
- Verify sustainability certification compliance for 100% of fabrics in accordance with Kering's sustainability development standards
- Coordinate fabric collection from manufacturing facilities via shuttle or truck services, ensuring all relevant information is properly loaded into the dedicated online system
Qualifications
- Background in business school or fashion school education
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities
- Demonstrated organizational discipline, flexibility, and proactive mindset
- Prior exposure to luxury goods environments (preferred)
- Sensitivity to product development and material quality (preferred)
- Advanced English proficiency and Italian language skills (preferred)
