Watchfinder & Co. is seeking a Software Developer to design, build and maintain secure, scalable web applications, working across back-end development, cloud integrations and version control with the Engineering team and graphic designers. The role is full-time; no contract duration is stated.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design web application architecture and develop robust, scalable and secure software solutions.
• Ensure application responsiveness and quality while maintaining code integrity and organisation.
• Collaborate with the Engineering team to design and launch features and with graphic designers to translate designs into visual elements.
• Implement application security and data protection measures.
• Develop server-side logic using back-end programming languages and integrate it with front-end components.
• Work with cloud message APIs, implement push notifications and leverage AWS cloud solutions.
• Use Git and Visual Studio Team Services for version control and change tracking.
• Apply Agile methodologies, with a focus on Kanban, to manage and deliver projects efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Proven experience with Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, SCSS, HTML5, Unit Testing, TDD, Web Pack, C#, MVC, Python, REST web services and SQL/T-SQL.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools and frameworks, including AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK and Terraform.
• Knowledge of security best practices.
• Strong team-player skills and the ability to work on own initiative.
• Strong organisation, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong administrative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A strong sense of urgency and a dedicated work ethic.
• Ability to manage complex solutions.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise under pressure.
• A creative, outside-the-box approach.
• Experience communicating with stakeholders, team members and other technical teams to gather requirements and describe software product features and technical designs.
