Watchfinder & Co. hiring Senior Sales and Purchasing Advisor in New York—manage luxury watch transactions and client relationships in pre-owned timepieces.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage client inquiries via phone and email using a first-come, first-served queue system, delivering timely and professional responses
- Negotiate and execute purchase and sale transactions of pre-owned watches, including trade-in arrangements, to optimize margin and client satisfaction
- Oversee the complete sales and purchasing cycle from initial contact through conversion and post-sale customer support
- Ensure adherence to all sales, financial, and security procedures as established by headquarters
- Handle 'live' orders following payment processing and respond to after-sales queries from clients
- Understand and execute internal protocols governing watch receipt, authentication, and delivery to end clients
- Track and monitor key performance indicators including first-reply time, phone answer speed, sales and purchasing targets, conversion rates, and client testimonials
Qualifications
- Exceptional knowledge of pre-owned luxury watch brands and specific models within their portfolios
- Comprehensive understanding of timepiece mechanics, including quartz, automatic, and manual wind movements
- Demonstrated experience managing key performance indicators in a sales or customer service environment
- Proven ability to negotiate complex transactions, particularly those involving trade-ins and high-value items
- Experience working with customers on a one-to-one basis regarding high-ticket luxury goods
- Strong proficiency in email and phone-based sales (essential requirement)
- Ability to absorb technical information and follow detailed procedures with precision
