Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the purchasing manager in sourcing pre-owned and trade-in watches, assessing supply opportunities and negotiating acquisition terms with dealers, consignors and private sellers.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models for inventory by performing market research, competitor benchmarking and margin analysis to maximise resale profitability.
  • Coordinate closely with authentication, refurbishment and valuation teams to ensure accurate cost capture and condition-adjusted pricing.
  • Monitor inventory flows and ageing; propose and execute markdown, promotion or re-pricing strategies to optimise turnover and margin.
  • Maintain procurement records, supplier contracts and pricing histories; ensure ERP and POS systems reflect correct acquisition costs and retail prices.
  • Prepare regular purchasing and pricing reports, forecasts and KPI dashboards for senior management, highlighting risk and opportunity.
  • Contribute to vendor relationship management and onboarding processes, including due diligence and supply compliance.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, e-commerce, and retail teams to align pricing strategy across channels and for promotional events.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' professional experience in buying, procurement, pricing or commercial roles within luxury retail or the pre-owned market.
  • Proven numerical acuity with experience building pricing models and performing margin analysis.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier or consignor relationships.
  • Familiarity with authentication, servicing and condition grading of luxury watches is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and to present findings to senior leadership.
