Versace seeks a Shoes Product Intern to support footwear development from concept to production in Milan or Italy. Internship role in luxury footwear product management.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support all phases of footwear product development through production refinement, monitoring collection timelines and deadlines for each activity
- Participate in collection progress meetings with Category Managers and collaborate with all involved departments
- Assist with collection status documentation, budget monitoring, and costing activities
- Support management of external supplier relationships, including shoe factories, heel and sole manufacturers, and specialized processing vendors
- Complete material and component orders for prototype and sample production
- Prepare and transmit material reference specifications to external suppliers
- Support reporting and administrative activities
Qualifications
- Background in product development or economics/business management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of PLM and Stealth systems
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility
- Strong problem-solving abilities and teamwork orientation
- Fluent Italian and English language proficiency
Skills
Experience
Internship or early-career experience in product development, supply chain coordination, or business operations is advantageous. Familiarity with the footwear or fashion industry is preferred but not essential.
Education
Degree or coursework in Product Development, Engineering, Economics, Business Management, or related disciplines
