Role & Responsibilities

  • Construct prototype and sample garments for the men’s ready-to-wear collection using a combination of hand-sewing and industrial sewing-machine techniques.
  • Assemble a wide range of garment types with particular focus on both light and heavy pieces, ensuring precision of finish and adherence to technical specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with the First Line Menswear team (Prima Linea Abbigliamento) to realise runway and collection samples, incorporating fit comments and iterative adjustments.
  • Translate patterns and technical sheets into finished samples; perform fitting adjustments and final garment refinements.
  • Maintain high standards of workshop organisation, quality control and documentation for each prototype and sample.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of consolidated professional experience as a seamstress/tailor, prototypist or sample maker within menswear.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, precision and attention to detail across both hand and machine sewing techniques.
  • Deep knowledge of garment constructions and fabric behaviours; experience with multiple fabric types and finishes.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced atelier environment.
  • Fluent Italian (spoken and written).

Experience
