Versace Seamstress (Sample / Prototype)

Role & Responsibilities
- Produce prototypes and campaign/runway samples for women’s ready-to-wear in close collaboration with the First Line Apparel team and the in-house sartoria.
- Construct garments using both hand and machine sewing techniques across a wide range of fabrics and finishes.
- Specialise in lightweight garment construction with emphasis on dresses, shirts and skirts.
- Translate technical sketches and patterns into precise, production-ready samples; implement bespoke finishes and complex workmanship as required for runway and collection pieces.
- Work on-site within the atelier, maintaining high standards of quality control, fit and detail; liaise with designers and patternmakers to refine prototypes.
Qualifications
- Selection reserved exclusively to candidates belonging to protected categories (Law n.68/1999).
- 5–7 years of proven experience as a prototype/campionario seamstress or sample maker within womenswear, preferably in luxury or high-end fashion.
- Excellent manual dexterity, precision and attention to finishing details.
- Strong ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary atelier.
- Deep knowledge of garment types, fabric behaviours and sewing techniques; familiarity with a variety of fabrications and specialised treatments.
- Fluent in Italian (spoken and written).

Experience
Minimum 5–7 years' hands-on experience as a prototyping/sample seamstress in women’s high-end or luxury apparel, with a demonstrated portfolio of runway or collection samples.
Education
Vocational qualification or diploma in fashion design, tailoring or dressmaking; equivalent formal apprenticeship or demonstrable professional experience in luxury garment construction is acceptable.
