Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day back-of-house (BOH) operations, ensuring the stockroom is organized, secure and aligned with visual merchandising on the sales floor.
  • Monitor sales-floor stock and product presentation to ensure all pieces are represented according to current VM sets; communicate stock-level or quality issues to General Manager and Associate Manager to mitigate shrink.
  • Perform shipping and receiving tasks efficiently and cost-effectively, including processing customer shipments, consolidations and transfers within deadlines.
  • Lead and participate in physical inventory cycles: prepare for counts, execute cycle counts, investigate discrepancies and manage adjustments and differential reports.
  • Process damages monthly to company standards and track all repairs (company-owned goods and customer repairs), communicating status to relevant stakeholders and interacting with clients as needed.
  • Support key holder responsibilities as required (opening/closing the store, closing out POS, sending EOD reports) and set an example by following and elevating operational policies and procedures.
  • Assist the sales team with client-facing tasks such as running sizes, advising on stock availability and supporting checkout when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of all stock movement and prepare corporate finance packs on a bi-monthly schedule.
  • Monitor store supply levels (packaging, office supplies, beverages) and communicate ordering needs to management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years' experience in a retail back-of-house environment; luxury retail experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to perform shipping/receiving, inventory control and conduct cycle counts with attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to build partnerships across store and corporate teams.
  • Demonstrated reliability in key-holder duties and adherence to security and cash-handling procedures.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, able to multi-task in a fast-paced luxury retail environment while maintaining high operational standards.

Experience

At least two years' experience working in a retail back-of-house or operations role; prior experience in luxury retail and familiarity with inventory audits, shipping/receiving and key-holder duties is preferred.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework or an associate degree in business, logistics or retail management is advantageous.
