The Leather Goods Product Development Intern supports the development of Versace’s men’s and women’s leather goods collections, from product development through production finalisation. The role includes coordinating collection milestones, supplier and materials activities, costing, budget monitoring and reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the team throughout all product development stages through production finalisation, monitoring collection timelines and activity deadlines, and preparing collection line sheets, collection boards and presentations.
- Attend collection progress and update meetings alongside Category Managers with all departments involved.
- Support the completion of collection progress files, management of material orders, budget monitoring and costing activities.
- Support the management of relationships with external suppliers, including manufacturers of bags, belts, small leather goods and production processes.
- Prepare orders for materials and components used to create prototypes and samples.
- Prepare and send material references to external suppliers.
- Carry out reporting activities.
Qualifications
- Education or training in product-related studies, economics, business or management.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of PLM systems and Stealth.
- Fluent Italian and English.
