Versace — Department Manager in Serravalle Scrivia, Italy: lead department sales, coaching and merchandising to deliver the Versace client experience.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving sales targets and qualitative KPIs through rigorous analysis, action planning and execution for the assigned department.
  • Continuously review departmental sales performance and sell-through; liaise with merchandising divisions to optimise product allocation and respond to market trends.
  • Lead, develop and coach the department team: set monthly and yearly objectives, deliver post-training follow-up, run briefings and ensure adherence to company guidelines.
  • Act as a visible brand ambassador on the shop floor, model superior client service and cultivate long-term client relationships.
  • Oversee CRM activities: ensure accurate customer database management, pursue retention and conversion opportunities, and support in-store promotional events with merchandising and PR.
  • Manage category and stockroom organisation to company standards, enforce loss-prevention measures and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure store presentation and visual merchandising standards are applied consistently to maximise commercial impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or Business preferred.
  • 1–3 years of retail management experience; luxury retail experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of specialty retail operations and store management.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop retail teams to achieve sales and service targets.
  • Strong client-facing skills with a record of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the capacity to perform in a high-paced environment.
  • Organisational, critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities; sales-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.

Experience
