Van Cleef & Arpels is seeking a Trainer in Istanbul to deliver boutique training, product mastery and clienteling programmes.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, deliver and continuously refine in-person and virtual training programmes for boutique teams covering product knowledge, selling techniques, clienteling and brand standards.
- Onboard new boutique hires and provide structured coaching and mentoring to elevate individual and store performance.
- Develop training materials, visual aids and practical assessments aligned with the maison’s craftsmanship and client service expectations.
- Collaborate with regional retail leadership, HR and merchandising teams to align training content with commercial objectives, new launches and seasonal initiatives.
- Monitor training effectiveness through KPIs, post-training evaluations and mystery shopping feedback; propose corrective actions and follow-up sessions.
- Lead interactive workshops, role-plays and product mastery sessions during pre-launch and high season periods.
- Support talent development by identifying high-potential advisors and contributing to succession and career-path discussions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience designing and delivering retail training programmes, preferably within luxury goods (high jewellery, watches, leather goods or haute couture).
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate training into measurable sales and client retention outcomes.
- Excellent presentation, coaching and interpersonal skills; comfortable facilitating groups and delivering one-to-one mentoring.
- Fluency in Turkish and professional working proficiency in English.
- Comfortable working within boutique environments and travelling between stores as required.
Skills
Experience
Typically 3–5 years of experience in luxury retail or boutique environments with demonstrable experience in training, coaching or L&D roles; prior exposure to high-jewellery or watchmaking product ranges is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in business, hospitality, retail management or related fields; formal training or certification in adult education/L&D is an advantage.
