Van Cleef & Arpels — Temporary Store Planning Assistant in New York. Temporary role supporting store planning, fixtures and visual merchandising.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the store planning team in the delivery of boutique layouts, fixture rollouts and visual merchandising installations across the New York network.
- Produce and update floor plans, elevation drawings and planograms using CAD and 3D modelling tools; prepare presentation materials for internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate logistics for fixture deliveries, on-site installations and store refurbishments including timelines, vendors and installation teams.
- Maintain fixture and asset inventories, track movements and ensure compliance with brand technical standards and visual guidelines.
- Conduct site surveys and liaise with store managers, visual merchandisers and third‑party contractors to translate design intent into physical execution.
- Assist with procurement of fixtures and materials, request quotes, and follow up on production and delivery schedules.
- Document project progress and keep centralized records: drawings, specifications, vendor contact lists and installation reports.
- Support pop‑up, event and seasonal activations by preparing technical briefs and ensuring on-time installation and deinstallation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Visual Merchandising or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years' experience in retail store planning, visual merchandising, architectural drafting, or fixture project coordination; luxury retail experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read and produce technical drawings and floor plans and to translate design specifications into executable tasks.
- Strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors.

1–3 years of hands‑on experience in store planning, visual merchandising, architectural drafting, or fixture/project coordination, ideally within luxury retail or specialty boutiques.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Visual Merchandising, or equivalent professional diploma preferred.
