Role & Responsibilities
- Support the studio team on still-life and motion shoots for high-jewellery, preparing sets, arranging lighting and assisting with camera operation.
- Operate and troubleshoot photographic and video equipment under senior supervision, ensuring technical consistency across captures.
- Perform preliminary image selection, basic retouching and sequence assembly for review by the creative team.
- Manage digital assets: ingest footage and stills, apply naming conventions, ensure backup and handoff to the asset library.
- Collaborate closely with stylists, gem handlers and creative directors to respect the maison's standards for handling, presentation and colour fidelity.
- Maintain studio equipment and consumables; assist with setup, packing and logistics for external shoots or showrooms.
- Contribute to technical tests and R&D for macro, reflective-surface and micro-motion shooting specific to jewellery.
- Adhere to production schedules and quality-control procedures to deliver assets formatted for both print and digital channels.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a photography, audiovisual, cinematography or multimedia program (alternance/apprenticeship track).
- A demonstrable portfolio showing product, still-life or jewellery photography and basic motion work.
- Strong manual dexterity and proven ability to handle delicate objects with care.
- Solid understanding of studio lighting principles, colour management and image composition.
- Organised workflow habits and familiarity with professional file naming, backup and asset management practices.
- Professional attitude, discretion and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional creative teams.
Skills
Experience
Prior internships or 6–12 months of practical studio experience preferred; a strong student portfolio demonstrating product or jewellery work is essential. Experience with macro photography and motion capture of small reflective objects is advantageous.
Education
Pursuing or recently completed diploma/degree in Photography, Audiovisual/Cinematography, Multimedia or a related creative arts program (alternance/apprenticeship pathway).
