Van Cleef & Arpels seeks a Store Development Project Manager in London for a 12-month contract role managing European retail development projects.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage local project briefs, gather business and technical requirements, support project development, and oversee construction follow-up, snagging, and handover to Retail Operations
- Consolidate Back of House requirements, understand operational needs, and coordinate functional layouts and solutions with various stakeholders
- Act as the central local point for all functions contributing to Store Planning projects, ensuring requirements are met and proactively escalating issues
- Support budget construction, coordinate local quotations, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial accuracy for regional reporting
- Assist with tender processes, organize site visits, interact with bidders, and provide local market knowledge
- Provide strong local presence, monitor construction progress and workmanship, identify deviations, and ensure rigorous snagging and close-out
Qualifications
- Excellent project coordination capabilities with strong attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with high ownership and accountability
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate risks and escalate appropriately
- Strong financial awareness and hands-on, solution-oriented approach
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, comfortable operating within a Regional governance framework
- Strong sensitivity to luxury construction and execution standards
Skills
Experience
Experience in project management within retail, real estate, or luxury retail environments is essential. Prior experience coordinating store development projects, construction oversight, and managing cross-functional teams across multiple markets is highly valued.
Education
Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, real estate, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
