Van Cleef & Arpels seeks an experienced Bench Jeweler in New York City for high jewelry repair, alterations, and fabrication. $48–$57/hr.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Complete after-sales service repairs including component functionality and restoration
  • Execute after-sales alterations and adjustments, including ring sizing, chain sizing, and laser engravings
  • Fabricate repetitive high jewelry pieces using handmade and semi-handmade techniques with precision in cast cleaning and assembly
  • Perform soldering operations using both traditional torch and laser welding techniques
  • Execute work on 18k gold and platinum materials with knowledge of complex manufacturing and mechanisms
  • Manage precious metal usage and workshop time management systems in compliance with productivity, quality, and delivery KPIs
  • Maintain assigned equipment at workbench and in shared workshop areas
  • Ensure daily adherence to workshop health and safety guidelines and self-evaluate work in accordance with workshop protocols

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in all phases of jewelry repair and manufacturing
  • Demonstrated expertise in laser welding and traditional torch soldering techniques
  • Proficiency working with microscopic equipment and precision measurement tools
  • Proven experience in jewelry fabrication and assembly
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain craftsmanship standards
  • Capability to respond swiftly to changing workshop priorities and meet delivery timelines
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer literacy
  • Team player with proven ability to adhere to deadlines and workshop protocols
