Van Cleef & Arpels seeks a Retail Technology Manager in New York to lead retail systems, applications, and technology initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage assigned retail technology projects and initiatives from planning through implementation, adoption, and ongoing optimization.
- Coordinate testing, pilots, deployments, and rollouts of new applications, systems, and technology across the retail network.
- Track project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and escalate challenges as appropriate.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Gather feedback after implementation and identify opportunities for continued improvement.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of the Maison’s retail applications, systems, tools, and operational processes.
- Serve as a key point of contact for boutique teams regarding assigned retail technology initiatives and system enhancements.
- Partner with boutiques to understand operational needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the testing and evaluation of technology solutions and new use cases in the retail environment.
- Create and maintain project documentation, user guides, procedures, and supporting materials.
- Build strong working relationships with boutiques, Retail Operations, IT, CRM, Training, Finance, Marketing, Security, Richemont, Global HQ, and other key partners.
- Translate business and boutique needs into clear requirements and actionable project deliverables.
- Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, pilots, and feedback sessions.
- Maintain clear communication regarding project status, risks, dependencies, decisions, and next steps.
- Support alignment between local business needs and global technology initiatives.
- Support adoption of new retail tools, applications, and processes across the boutique network.
- Partner with Training, Retail Operations, boutique leadership, and other stakeholders to prepare teams for technology launches and operational changes.
- Gather qualitative and quantitative feedback to assess adoption and effectiveness.
- Identify barriers to adoption and recommend solutions to improve usability and engagement.
- Support ongoing communication and education related to retail technology initiatives.
- Develop an understanding of the end-to-end boutique experience and how technology supports selling, operations, client engagement, inventory, and compliance.
- Review existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and simplify processes.
- Maintain awareness of relevant retail technology developments and emerging solutions.
Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in retail operations, retail technology, or project management, ideally in a luxury, premium consumer, or specialty retail environment.
- Experience supporting technology implementations, application rollouts, process improvements, or transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of retail technology, applications, and operational processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with POS, CRM, inventory management, SAP, Salesforce, or other enterprise retail systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred; a relevant combination of education and work experience will be considered.
- Valid work authorization for employment in the USA.
