Quality Animator position at Van Cleef & Arpels Châteauneuf-sur-Isère manufacture; fixed-term contract supporting atelier quality standards and team development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define, communicate, and train production teams on the Maison's quality criteria; formalize control checkpoints and quality expectations for each piece manufactured in the atelier
- Update and communicate atelier quality indicators and performance metrics to teams regularly; establish and implement plans for team autonomy development in self-inspection and sampling-based quality assurance
- Verify and validate the quality and conformity of finished fine jewelry products; compile quality performance data and quality control reports
- Alert stakeholders to non-conformities and lead improvement plans with production teams; evaluate pieces from third-party setters, contact suppliers regarding anomalies, and support resolution of recurring quality issues
- Conduct stone inspection and perform stone pairing operations
- Identify quality requirements for new product development; verify integration and control of quality criteria within product specifications and design briefs
- Contribute to risk analysis for projects and products; identify quality risks and participate in defining associated action plans
- Analyze and evaluate prototypes at different project milestones; prepare and share quality-related conclusions and documentation
- Serve as the atelier liaison with specialized quality teams to share and implement best practices across the Maison
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality control, quality assurance, or quality coordination within fine jewelry, haute horlogerie, or comparable luxury manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated expertise in quality standards, control methodologies, and process compliance
- Strong knowledge of fine jewelry production processes and materials (precious metals, gemstones, assembly techniques)
- Experience in team training and change management
- Proficiency with quality documentation, specifications, and control protocols
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality management or quality assurance within luxury goods manufacturing, preferably in fine jewelry, watchmaking, or artisanal production environments. Demonstrated success in training production teams, implementing quality processes, and managing supplier quality performance.
Education
Secondary education (Baccalauréat or equivalent); certification or formal training in quality management (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or similar) is advantageous.
