Van Cleef & Arpels in Paris seeks a Pedagogical Content Assistant intern for the École des Arts Joailliers — support course content, research and editorial work.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the conception, drafting and editing of pedagogical materials for courses, workshops and public programmes offered by the École des Arts Joailliers.
- Research historical, technical and iconographic sources related to jewellery, gemology and decorative arts to inform course content and bibliographies.
- Prepare and format slide decks, course booklets and participant handouts using InDesign, PowerPoint and Word.
- Assist with the production and curation of visual assets, liaising with photographers, archivists and atelier teams to source imagery.
- Maintain and update digital learning assets within the school’s LMS or content repository; ensure version control and metadata accuracy.
- Coordinate logistics for seminars and masterclasses, including scheduling instructors, preparing participant lists and supporting event set-up.
- Proofread and copyedit French-language materials and provide English translations or bilingual editing as required.
- Contribute to post-course evaluation by collecting feedback, compiling reports and recommending content improvements.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in art history, jewellery studies, museum studies, pedagogy, communications or a related humanities discipline.
- Strong editorial ability with meticulous attention to detail in written materials and visual layouts.
- Excellent organisational skills and capacity to manage simultaneous content projects to tight deadlines.
- Demonstrable interest in jewellery, decorative arts, craftsmanship or cultural heritage.
- Comfortable working in a bilingual professional environment — strong written French and good working knowledge of English preferred.
- Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams including curators, artisans and external lecturers.
Skills
Experience
Previous academic or internship experience supporting content creation, editorial work, museum or cultural education programmes is an asset; demonstrable research projects or writing samples related to the arts or jewellery preferred.
Education
Enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s programme (art history, jewellery studies, museum studies, pedagogy, communications or equivalent).
