Role & Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end distribution operations for the region, ensuring timely, secure delivery of high-value merchandise to boutiques, clients and partners.
- Manage inventory control and stock replenishment processes, including cycle counts, stock reconciliations and shrinkage prevention.
- Supervise warehouse and fulfilment activities, including domestic and international shipments, customs clearance and third-party logistics providers.
- Define and monitor operational KPIs, produce regular reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise lead times and costs.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures and compliance protocols for handling luxury goods, export/import regulations and security.
- Collaborate with retail, merchandising, sales planning and finance teams to align distribution capacity with demand forecasts and promotional calendars.
- Lead, coach and develop a small operations team and manage relationships with external partners and carriers.
- Oversee budgets and supplier performance, negotiate service level agreements and ensure contractual compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- Demonstrable experience managing distribution, warehousing or logistics operations within luxury retail or other high-value goods environments.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping, customs procedures and compliance requirements for high-value jewellery and luxury items.
- Proven leadership capability with experience developing teams and managing external logistics providers.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret operational metrics and drive process improvements.
Skills
Experience
Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, distribution or supply chain functions, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial capacity; experience in luxury retail or handling high-value merchandise strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
