Role & Responsibilities

  • Define, document and standardize manufacturing processes for high‑jewellery pieces produced at Les Ateliers de Châteauneuf‑sur‑Isère.
  • Industrialize new designs: translate prototypes into repeatable production routings, work instructions and quality checkpoints.
  • Specify and qualify tooling, fixtures, jigs and measurement equipment in collaboration with workshops and external suppliers.
  • Perform time studies, capacity analysis and cost estimation to validate production feasibility and line balancing.
  • Lead continuous improvement and lean initiatives to increase productivity, reduce scrap and shorten lead times.
  • Investigate and resolve production non‑conformities; implement corrective and preventive actions with Quality and Production teams.
  • Train and coach production operators and technicians on processes, safe handling of precious materials and documented standards.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date process documentation, routings and traceability records in compliance with atelier procedures.

Qualifications

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing technology or equivalent technical diploma.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of metalworking, precision assembly and finishing processes; experience in fine jewellery, watchmaking or related precision crafts strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to generate and read technical drawings, process routings and work instructions.
  • Experience specifying tooling, fixtures and measurement methods for small‑scale precision manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical skills, methodical approach and rigorous attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication for cross‑functional collaboration.
