Van Cleef & Arpels seeks a Merchandising Specialist in Seoul to lead assortment planning, forecasting and inventory optimisation for the local market.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute assortment and merchandise plans aligned with seasonal strategies, sales targets and brand positioning for the Seoul market.
  • Perform weekly/monthly sales and inventory analysis to optimise stock levels, manage sell-through and minimise ageing across channels.
  • Prepare forecasts, open‑to‑buy plans and replenishment recommendations in collaboration with buying, planning and store teams.
  • Translate global product allocations into localised merchandising actions, including SKU mix, visual priorities and launch schedules.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional activities for product launches and special events, liaising with marketing, CRM and visual merchandising.
  • Manage vendor and internal stakeholder communication to ensure timely deliveries, quality compliance and markdown/clearance strategies.
  • Produce management reporting and presentations to senior leadership on assortment performance, margin drivers and inventory KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Proven commercial acumen with strong numerical and analytical capability; comfortable working with retail KPIs and margin analyses.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence cross‑functional teams and external partners.
  • Fluent Korean and professional working proficiency in English is advantageous (local market fluency required).
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage concurrent product flows and seasonal deadlines.
