Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with suppliers to define rough gemstone specifications, integrating technical and quality constraints specific to stone properties
- Design and refine manufacturing processes from raw material inspection through finishing operations
- Program FAO software and establish machining parameters tailored to the materials being worked
- Adjust, calibrate, and optimize CNC machining center operations to achieve precision results
- Execute finishing, polishing, and perform dimensional and visual quality control of machined pieces
- Contribute to knowledge transfer and documentation to build the foundation of the in-house Lapidary Workshop
Qualifications
- CAP or equivalent qualification in gemstone cutting/lapidary
- Confirmed professional experience in fine gemstone lapidary and cutting
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM and CNC machining software
- Technical knowledge of micromechanics, precision machining, and complex material transformation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards in artisanal environments
