Van Cleef & Arpels seeks Jewelry Prototypist CAD Designer in Lyon, France. CAD, prototyping & jewelry craftsmanship expertise required.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Contribute technical solutions and design proposals for the development of new jewelry systems
  • Participate in conception workshops and feasibility analysis of selected solutions
  • Model and construct CAD systems in support of the CAD/CAM Innovation Manager
  • Refine and finalize jewelry systems under the mentorship of the Technical Jewelry Expert
  • Prepare CAD files and oversee 3D wax printing for prototype production
  • Perform lost-wax casting operations including gating, plaster investment, and micro-casting on MC100V equipment
  • Execute prototype finishing, adjustment, and component refinement from castings or machined parts
  • Employ traditional jewelry-making techniques for component fabrication using wires, sheets, and wax
  • Ensure component functionality and proper assembly through precise adjustment
  • Manage precious metals tracking including weighing, documentation, and inventory support
  • Participate in regular inventory audits and precious metals management

Qualifications

  • Training or qualification in jewelry design and/or CAD
  • Proficiency with Solidworks and/or Rhino software
  • Strong knowledge of lost-wax casting techniques
  • Demonstrated mastery of traditional jewelry-making craftsmanship
