Van Cleef & Arpels is seeking a jewelry intern in Lyon for a practical application internship. The intern will discover production workshop operations and workflows, observe jewelry-making trades, and complete bench projects under experienced artisans’ supervision while applying and developing academic skills.
Role & Responsibilities
- Discover the overall organization of the workshop and complete jewelry projects to apply and develop skills acquired during academic training.
- Learn how a production workshop operates, including its manufacturing flows.
- Observe and understand the interactions among jewelry making, casting, stone setting, and polishing trades.
- Become familiar with the Maison’s quality requirements and standards of excellence.
- Complete practical bench projects under the supervision of experienced jewelry artisans.
- Participate in making components, mock-ups, and necessary technical adjustments.
- Apply academic knowledge to solve practical manufacturing challenges.
Qualifications
- Currently studying jewelry making through a CAP, BMA, DMA, Haute École de Joaillerie, or equivalent program, and seeking a practical application internship.
- Proficient in the fundamental techniques of the trade.
- Curious, rigorous, and eager to learn how an exceptional workshop operates.
- Excellent listening skills, meticulousness, and a strong appreciation for teamwork.
- Motivated to apply theoretical and practical training from school to concrete projects.
