Role & Responsibilities
- Assist atelier artisans with benchwork tasks including filing, polishing, finishing and basic assembly under direct supervision.
- Support stone setting preparation and assist setters with stone handling, cleaning and basic setting operations as assigned.
- Prepare and maintain tools, jigs and workstations; ensure strict adherence to atelier cleanliness and safety protocols.
- Participate in quality control and finishing checks, reporting defects and escalating to senior bench jewellers or supervisors.
- Contribute to prototype and sample preparation for collections, documenting work and maintaining production records.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in or recent completion of a vocational or technical programme in jewellery making, metalsmithing, gemmology or equivalent craft training.
- Demonstrable manual dexterity and meticulous attention to detail; steady hand and fine motor control.
- Familiarity with basic bench techniques (sawing, filing, polishing) and a desire to develop stone-setting and soldering skills.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality and the ability to follow precise instructions in a structured atelier environment.
- Respect for artisan traditions and confidentiality when handling high-value pieces.

Experience
Practical, hands-on workshop experience is preferred; prior internships, apprenticeship placements, or school workshop practice demonstrating bench skills will be an advantage.
Education
