Van Cleef & Arpels — Paris: Internship for Heritage Exhibitions Project Assistant supporting curatorial, logistics and archives work.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Projet Expositions Patrimoine in planning and delivering temporary and permanent exhibitions showcasing the maison's heritage.
- Support preparation of object inventories, condition reports and loan documentation for artworks and jewelry from internal archives and external lenders.
- Coordinate logistics for transport, insurance, customs and storage in collaboration with shipping vendors, insurers and conservation teams.
- Help draft curatorial texts, labels and explanatory materials; prepare visuals and presentation decks for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain project schedules, track budgets and monitor milestones; liaise with internal departments (archives, workshops, legal, communications) and external partners (museums, curators, installers).
- Provide on-site support during installation, deinstallation and preview events; document installation processes and assist with post-exhibition reporting.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in art history, museology, cultural heritage, curatorial studies or arts management.
- Strong organisational aptitude with an ability to manage multiple deadlines and logistical details simultaneously.
- Familiarity with handling and documenting works of art, including basic condition reporting and object provenance research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capacity to draft clear curatorial texts and project reports.
- Professional discretion and respect for confidentiality when working with high-value objects and sensitive archives.

Internship-level role; prior internship or volunteer experience in museums, galleries, cultural institutions or heritage departments is strongly preferred but not required.
Education
Enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's or master's programme in art history, museology, cultural heritage, curatorial studies or related discipline.
