Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee high jewelry production by managing a diverse team of artisans across all craft disciplines
- Recruit, evaluate, and develop artisan team members while ensuring technical skill progression and performance standards
- Allocate work assignments based on workshop capacity, individual artisan availability, and specific expertise required
- Monitor each piece throughout the manufacturing process; serve as primary production liaison and escalate cost or timeline deviations to the Workshop Director
- Ensure adherence to the atelier's quality standards for all pieces delivered; implement corrective measures when quality thresholds are not met
- Manage component procurement and inventory to maintain adequate supply for team operations
- Oversee artisan scheduling compliance and time tracking
- Collaborate with the High Jewelry Development Manager on production planning and resource allocation
- Prepare cost estimates in partnership with workshop leadership and propose operational improvements
- Build and expand the Parisian workshop team through active recruitment efforts
Qualifications
- Master-level expertise (OJ4 or equivalent) in high jewelry workshop craftsmanship across multiple disciplines
- Demonstrated experience in artisan skill development and knowledge transmission
- Proven team management experience with documented performance in leading artisan or manufacturing teams
- Strong planning, organizational, and attention-to-detail capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and assertiveness to collaborate effectively across functions and departments
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and drive to enhance workshop operations and efficiency
- Natural leadership ability with capacity to mentor and develop team members in a hands-on environment
Skills
Experience
Solid experience in high jewelry workshop production at master level, including prior experience transmitting expertise and leading artisan teams. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of team management and operational responsibility within a luxury high jewelry environment.
Education
Technical training or formal qualifications in high jewelry craftsmanship (such as master artisan certification or equivalent OJ4 level qualification).
