Aurigane seeks Foundry Assistant in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, France for precious metals casting operations at Van Cleef & Arpels subsidiary.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare and apply investment-mold coatings prior to metal injection
- Perform knockout procedures and clean cast precious metal pieces following injection
- Separate individual components from casting trees using precision techniques
- Maintain and complete all manufacturing and material-tracking documentation
- Ensure full traceability of pieces throughout the production workflow
- Collaborate with the Head of Alloys and Precious Metals Foundry and workshop team
- Support diverse workshop missions and contribute to continuous process improvement
Qualifications
- Significant workshop experience in precious metals foundry or casting operations
- BTS (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur) in Foundry or equivalent technical qualification (preferred)
- Demonstrated discretion, rigor, and strong organizational abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Familiarity with and appreciation for Van Cleef & Arpels fine jewelry creations
- Knowledge of precious metals handling and safety protocols
Skills
Experience
Significant prior experience in a workshop environment, with direct involvement in casting, foundry, or precious metals production processes. Background in precious metals fabrication is essential.
Education
BTS (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur) in Foundry or equivalent technical qualification in metallurgy, materials science, or jewelry manufacturing is preferred. Professional workshop certifications in precious metals handling or casting techniques are advantageous.
