Van Cleef & Arpels seeks a Deputy Boutique Manager in New Delhi to support boutique operations, sales and VIP client relations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Boutique Manager in driving sales performance and achieving monthly and annual targets through proactive clienteling and merchandising.
  • Lead daily boutique operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, POS reconciliations and adherence to loss-prevention protocols.
  • Coach, motivate and schedule boutique staff; deliver on-the-job training to ensure service standards and product knowledge across the team.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with VIP and prospective clients through personalised outreach, bespoke service and CRM maintenance.
  • Implement and maintain brand visual merchandising standards, window displays and in-store boutique presentation.
  • Oversee inventory control, stock movements, deliveries and liaise with regional logistics to ensure product availability and accurate reporting.
  • Assist in organising boutique events, private appointments and trunk shows to amplify brand presence and client engagement.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales, KPI and activity reports to senior management and participate in business reviews.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in supervisory or assistant managerial roles within luxury retail, preferably in jewellery, watches or high-end accessories.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead small teams, deliver customer service excellence and meet sales targets in a boutique environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in client development and CRM-driven sales.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with capacity to represent a luxury brand to high-net-worth clients.
  • Comfortable with high standards of visual merchandising, store operations and compliance with security procedures.

Experience

Minimum three years of retail experience with at least one year in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity within luxury jewellery, watches or comparable premium retail. Proven track record of meeting sales targets and developing VIP client relationships is required.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Luxury Brand Management or equivalent professional experience preferred.
