Van Cleef & Arpels — Paris: Internship as Conference Presenter at Les Salons Vendôme, leading guided presentations on the house’s heritage and collections.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging guided presentations and talks in Les Salons Vendôme that communicate the maison's history, design codes, craftsmanship and collections.
- Host and orient private clients, collectors and invited guests, ensuring a refined and personalised visitor experience.
- Collaborate closely with client relations, sales and events teams to coordinate arrivals, room set-up and presentation logistics.
- Prepare presentation materials and scripts; adapt content for different audiences (VIP clients, press, students, international visitors).
- Answer detailed questions on gemology, techniques and provenance with accuracy and discretion; escalate transactional requests to the sales team.
- Maintain the salon’s ambience and professional presentation standards, including room layout, audiovisual tools and printed materials.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a tertiary programme in art history, heritage studies, communications, museum studies or a related discipline.
- Excellent verbal communication and public-speaking ability in French; confident stage presence and polished interpersonal manner.
- Strong interest in jewellery, gemstones and artisanal techniques, with demonstrable cultural or academic engagement.
- Proven capacity to present complex technical or historical information clearly and courteously to high-net-worth clients.
- Availability to work a schedule that may include evenings or weekends; punctuality and discretion required in client-facing settings.
Skills
Experience
Previous experience in guided visits, public presentations, museum interpretation, hospitality front-of-house or luxury client-facing roles is advantageous but not mandatory; demonstrable interest and coursework in heritage, art history or communications will be considered.
Education
Enrolled in or recently completed higher education (Bachelor's or Master's) in art history, heritage studies, communications, museum studies or a closely related field.
