Van Cleef & Arpels is hiring a Client Insights Assistant Manager in Tokyo to lead CRM analytics, client segmentation and boutique-facing insights.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain client segmentation and propensity models to inform acquisition, retention and VIP engagement strategies.
- Analyze CRM and sales data to evaluate campaign performance, lifetime value and conversion drivers; translate findings into actionable recommendations for boutiques and regional teams.
- Build and distribute regular dashboards and ad-hoc reports using BI tools; ensure data accuracy and governance across client databases.
- Collaborate with retail, marketing, merchandising and e‑commerce stakeholders to design targeted client journeys and personalised communications.
- Manage and optimise clienteling tools and CRM workflows to improve boutique conversion and post‑sale engagement.
- Provide training and guidance to boutique teams on insights interpretation, client approach and data-driven selling.
- Lead small project workstreams or external vendor relationships to implement analytics initiatives and reporting automation.
- Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to convert data into commercial actions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to present complex analyses to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with luxury brands, premium retail or client-facing services is strongly preferred.
- Track record of delivering CRM-led programs and client segmentation workstreams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-centric retail environment.
- Fluent in professional business practices with high standards of discretion and client confidentiality.
Skills
Experience
Approximately 3+ years of experience in client insights, CRM analytics, retail analytics or a closely related function, preferably within luxury retail, premium hospitality or high-end services. Prior exposure to boutique operations and clienteling programs is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, Economics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
