The Boutique Operations Associate manages inventory, cash and administrative procedures, customer service workflows, and DARE training and support at Van Cleef & Arpels in Nagoya. The role may also include customer service and sales depending on boutique operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage boutique inventory movements, including deliveries, transfers, reservations and consignment stock.
- Process all inventory counts according to established procedures, including daily, spot, periodic and annual counts.
- Monitor stock levels for all products and replace product labels following price changes.
- Manage boutique cash procedures and holdings, including payments, deposits, refunds and tax-free transactions.
- Serve as the usual back-office contact for the Group’s finance, general affairs, IT and logistics departments.
- Maintain documents and records concerning discounts, deposits, complimentary items and exchanges for internal audits.
- Reconcile credit card statements with internal accounting records; organize product deliveries and export status.
- Purchase consumables and pay related invoices.
- Manage back-office customer service procedures and product transfers between platforms.
- Review customer service stock, including leather straps and damaged jewelry pieces sent for maintenance, and manage customer service transactions.
- Serve as the boutique’s primary DARE user, attend all DARE training, learn the required DARE functions and share that knowledge with boutique staff through training.
- Support boutique staff with system issues and contact the IT team on behalf of the boutique.
- Depending on boutique operations, assist customers, including with sales.
