Van Cleef & Arpels seeks a Boutique Assistant in Hong Kong to deliver refined client service and support sales in a prestigious high-jewellery boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exemplary face-to-face service to clients and prospective customers, ensuring a discreet, personalised and memorable experience.
- Support sales activities including client appointments, product presentations, demonstrations and closing transactions in line with maison standards.
- Maintain boutique presentation and visual merchandising to the highest luxury standards; ensure window and floor displays reflect current collections and directives.
- Manage stock handling and inventory control, including reception of deliveries, tagging, replenishment and accurate record-keeping.
- Operate point-of-sale systems, process payments and complete all required sales documentation with confidentiality and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients through follow-up communications, appointment scheduling and delivery of after-sales support.
- Collaborate with the boutique team and head office on local events, VIP client initiatives and outreach programmes.
- Adhere to security, loss-prevention and compliance procedures specific to high-value jewellery retail.
Qualifications
- Polished interpersonal skills with proven ability to engage and build rapport with discerning clients.
- High level of discretion, professionalism and respect for client confidentiality.
- Strong numeracy and administrative accuracy; comfortable handling transactions and documentation for high-value sales.
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays; readiness to support VIP events outside standard hours.
- Knowledge or demonstrable interest in fine jewellery, gemstones and luxury product provenance is desirable.
Skills
Experience
Preferably 1–2 years of experience in luxury retail or boutique environments, with a track record of delivering personalised service and meeting sales objectives; prior exposure to jewellery or watch categories is advantageous.
Education
Secondary education required; vocational qualification in retail, hospitality or luxury goods is an advantage.
