Van Cleef & Arpels — Lyon: Assistant Production Engineer Intern to support manufacturing engineering, process optimisation and quality in a high‑jewelry atelier.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the production engineering team in daily atelier operations and manufacturing troubleshooting.
- Contribute to process analysis and continuous‑improvement initiatives to raise efficiency and reduce waste.
- Prepare and update work instructions, process documentation and production reports.
- Assist with quality-control monitoring, root-cause analysis and corrective action follow‑through.
- Participate in small improvement projects, including time studies, process mapping and pilot trials.
- Coordinate with production, quality and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues and implement process changes.
- Collect, analyse and visualise production data to support decision making and KPI tracking.
- Support equipment validation, preventive maintenance planning and supplier technical follow‑up as required.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Materials Engineering (or equivalent).
- Strong analytical aptitude with attention to detail and methodical approach to problem solving.
- Capacity to work within artisan production environments, respecting high quality and aesthetic standards.
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple short projects concurrently.
- Legal right to undertake a work placement/internship in France for the requested period.

Experience
Prior internships or practical experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, luxury goods production, or related environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Enrolment in an accredited engineering or technical degree programme (Bachelor’s/Master’s level) in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing or materials engineering.
