Van Cleef & Arpels seeks Assistant Boutique Manager for Fukuoka. Lead team development, sales achievement, and boutique operations in luxury high-jewelry retail.
Role & Responsibilities
- Communicate and translate the boutique's vision and strategy to team members, ensuring alignment and motivation across all levels
- Develop team talent and continuously improve boutique performance through coaching, mentoring, and skill development initiatives
- Monitor and maximize individual and boutique sales targets while analyzing market trends and sales results
- Support the Boutique Manager in quarterly planning, monthly forecasting, and daily operational execution
- Oversee client treatment programs for VIP and high-potential customers, including personalized engagement strategies
- Manage off-the-clock (OTC) events and promotional activities, coordinating client attendance, presentation materials, and sales execution
- Ensure compliance with Richemont Group, maison, and boutique policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Optimize boutique operations and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness
- Manage precious pieces (CP), loans, and inventory planning and execution
- Plan and lead inventory counts and loss prevention initiatives including theft prevention and security measures
- Create and adjust team member schedules to support operational needs
- Deliver exceptional customer service and translate the maison's customer care policies into boutique practice
- Address customer concerns and complaints with solutions aligned with maison standards
- Guide the team in providing outstanding client service and experiences in line with maison strategy and guidelines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, focusing on relationship development and customer loyalty
- Collaborate with the CRM team to enhance customer database quality and drive transformation rates, upselling, and retention
- Act as a maison ambassador both internally and externally, creating direct client touchpoints
- Build and maintain positive relationships with department store partners and business stakeholders
- Prepare and coordinate required documentation and reports for department store partners
- Serve as liaison between the boutique office and department store personnel during OTC events and special promotions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a management or assistant management role within luxury retail or high-end hospitality
- Demonstrated expertise in team leadership, staff development, and performance management
- Strong understanding of luxury customer service standards and client relationship management
- Proficiency in CRM systems and customer database management
- Experience with retail operations, inventory management, and loss prevention
- Knowledge of boutique or department store operations and partner relationships
- Ability to translate corporate strategy into actionable boutique-level execution
Skills
Experience
A minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in luxury retail management, boutique operations, or high-end customer service environments is expected. Prior experience as an assistant manager, deputy store manager, or equivalent role managing retail teams in a luxury goods or high-jewelry setting is preferred.
Education
Secondary education required; further qualification in business management, retail management, or luxury goods is advantageous.
