Valentino seeks an experienced Senior Client Advisor to embody the brand's values and lead client engagement across all touchpoints at the Paris Avenue Montaigne boutique. The role combines individual sales excellence with mentorship responsibilities, requiring expert product knowledge, sophisticated clienteling strategies, and proficiency with Valentino's operational systems. This position demands strategic thinking, advanced styling expertise, and the ability to cultivate meaningful client relationships while guiding junior staff toward exceptional service delivery.
Role & Responsibilities
- Exceed individual sales targets and drive overall store sales objectives through proactive client engagement and strategic selling techniques
- Retain existing clients and recruit new prospects by creating bespoke engagement strategies across multiple touchpoints including walk-ins, private appointments, distance sales, and partnerships
- Collect and enrich client data systematically, maintaining and updating prospect and client databases to support personalized marketing initiatives
- Possess expert-level knowledge of Valentino creations and communicate their heritage and craftsmanship through compelling storytelling
- Serve as a point of reference for store staff on product knowledge and advanced storytelling techniques
- Implement advanced styling and cross-selling techniques to enhance average transaction value and client lifetime value
- Demonstrate mastery of KPIs and their correlation to each stage of the client experience
- Ensure full compliance with operational guidelines including after-sales assistance, product transfers, and consignment processes
- Execute and support administrative tasks such as cycle counts, stock takes, product receiving, and documentation management
- Leverage company systems and tools (Smart XP, MY-V XP, PRISM, SAP, Training App, After Sales App) to streamline store operations and support junior staff in their effective use
- Mentor and guide junior staff to achieve exceptional client service and sales performance
- Communicate relevant insights and recommendations to store management to improve operations and client engagement strategies
Qualifications
- Proven track record of exceeding individual and collective sales targets in luxury retail environments
- Advanced proficiency with point-of-sale systems and retail management software
- Fluent in French and English
- Expert-level product knowledge and ability to communicate brand heritage through compelling narratives
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sophisticated clienteling strategies
- Strong mentoring and coaching capabilities
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in luxury retail, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead client-facing role. Demonstrated excellence in sales performance, client retention, and team development within an upscale fashion or luxury goods environment.
Education
Secondary education required; additional training in luxury brand management, sales techniques, or customer service excellence is advantageous.
