Valentino seeks an experienced Seamstress to deliver exceptional alterations, repairs, and refurbishment services at its Miami boutique. This role encompasses on-site client fittings, sample preparation, after-sales services, and garment restoration in strict adherence to the maison's exacting craftsmanship standards. The position demands discretion, flexibility, exceptional time management, and composure under pressure; occasional travel may be required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact for alterations and repairs, coordinating seamlessly with in-store teams
- Execute high-quality alterations both on-site and off-site, meeting all technical specifications and brand guidelines
- Fit, measure, pin, and mark garments according to precise client specifications and Valentino standards
- Provide on-the-spot alterations during client appointments and special events
- Meet strict deadlines while maintaining exceptional alignment with client expectations
- Operate Valentino-provided sewing machines, sergers, and specialized equipment to professional standards
- Perform hand-sewing, pressing, steaming, and garment finishing techniques as required
- Repair defective merchandise and manage after-sales and client repair requests with care
- Maintain detailed and accurate records within the alteration log system
- Delegate and track work for the seamstress team to ensure timely project completion
- Maintain an organized, well-stocked work area and communicate supply requirements to leadership and sales teams
- Support flexible in-store traffic demands and appointment schedules, including on-call fittings
- Act as liaison between corporate and store teams regarding alterations while preserving garment integrity
- Source necessary materials and notions to support client alteration needs
Qualifications
- High degree of technical sewing expertise and craftsmanship
- Proficiency in garment construction, alteration techniques, and repair methods
