Universo SA seeks a Tool & Die Stamping Technician in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Swatch Group role managing precision cutting tooling.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assemble and adjust high-precision stamping dies for cutting operations
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on stamping tooling systems
- Participate in the development and fine-tuning of new cutting tools
- Analyze and propose solutions to resolve tooling-related production issues
- Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with precision and quality standards for tool components
Qualifications
- CFC (Swiss Federal VET certificate) in Micro-mechanics or equivalent credential
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a watchmaking die maker specializing in precision cutting tools (Swiss-type follow-the-tool systems)
- Proficiency with machine tools including lathe, milling machine, and planer
- Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing ultra-precision components via precision stamping

Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a tooling specialist or die maker in the horology or precision manufacturing sector, with demonstrated expertise in assembling, adjusting, and maintaining high-precision cutting dies and stamping tooling systems for watch component production.
Education
CFC (Certificat Fédéral de Compétence) in Micro-mechanics or an equivalent Swiss or internationally recognized qualification in precision tool-making or mechanical engineering.
