Universo is seeking a Materials Engineering Intern for its R&D department to study plastic-forming techniques, simulate manufacturing deformation and assess production parameters and process capability. The role includes cross-functional collaboration and production testing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Review the state of the art in plastic forming techniques.
- Simulate the deformation of components during the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with quality, production and logistics teams to identify problems and propose suitable solutions.
- Assess the impact of machine and tool parameters on finished products.
- Propose and conduct a series of production tests.
- Evaluate a process capability study.
- Recommend technological improvements.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an EPF engineering degree, such as a master's degree in materials, chemistry, industrial processes or mechanical engineering; an HES engineering degree or equivalent qualification is also considered.
- Autonomous, proactive and rigorous.
- Interested in hands-on work.
- Creative, with strong analytical and synthesis skills.
- Strong team spirit and good interpersonal skills.
- French and English.
