Its collections span ready-to-wear, handbags, footwear and accessories, reaching an international clientele through a global retail and digital presence. As an employer, the company offers opportunities across design, merchandising, retail, technology and corporate functions, combining creative ambition with commercial expertise. Employees contribute to a founder-led business whose identity connects personal style with purpose. Women’s empowerment remains central to this identity, notably through the Tory Burch Foundation’s support for women entrepreneurs.

Tory Burch is seeking a Department Manager for its Bicester Village location to lead the sales floor, coach and motivate associates, deliver elevated customer experiences, build client relationships and drive sales results. The role also supports store communications, brand standards, inventory integrity, loss prevention and opening and closing procedures. Full-time.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and model behavior that reflects the company’s core values.
  • Manage conflict appropriately and take ownership of one’s contribution to team dynamics.
  • Act as the transformational leader of the sales floor, motivating the team to achieve sales plans and personal sales goals.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service through extensive product knowledge and product ownership.
  • Partner with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to ensure effective store communications, including cascading key information from corporate partners and running value-adding team meetings.
  • Contribute to a positive, fun, professional, productive and team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Lead by example in creating an environment that consistently delivers transformational customer experiences.
  • Model a highly productive selling environment by providing consistent training and coaching to sales associates.

  • Demonstrate strong selling skills.
  • Lead by example through repeat business and maximising sales through proactive customer outreach.
  • Maintain a “One Company” perspective on charge sends, returns and other transactions that are critical to a positive customer experience.
  • Understand and communicate the Tory Burch brand aesthetic, philosophy and lifestyle to associates and customers.
  • Embody the brand aesthetic through a strong sense of fashion and an enthusiastic attitude.
  • Help maintain brand and operating standards to support brand consistency.
  • Help maintain store presentation standards.
  • Use in-store technology to ensure each customer has a transformational experience.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, including counting register funds, completing bank deposits, opening and closing registers, and securing the store.
  • Accurately process POS transactions, capture employee information, and complete inventory functions—including transfers, receiving, shipments, repairs and damages—to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Follow all policies and procedures, with a focus on loss prevention and operational excellence.
  • Achieve personal sales and metric goals.
  • Build and maintain new and existing client relationships.
  • Maintain an organised client book that strengthens customer relationships and generates consistent, proactive sales volume.
  • Manage people resources to maximise sales, traffic flow, floor coverage and customer engagement.
  • Manage the sales floor with agility, adjusting direction and continuously improving based on key indicators and lessons learned.
  • Monitor and respond to business rhythms through clienteling, outreach and events, rather than relying solely on walk-in traffic.
