Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a retail team, ensuring strong performance against sales KPIs and financial targets
- Manage store operations including wage budgets, stock control, and visual merchandising to maximise customer experience
- Recruit, train, and mentor team members while fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture
- Monitor and achieve KPIs including sales targets, average transaction value, conversion rates, UPT, shrinkage, and mystery shop results
- Drive growth opportunities and identify business development initiatives to increase revenue
- Maintain stock management systems and ensure accurate inventory control
- Uphold brand standards through personal presentation and impeccable store appearance
- Collaborate with regional management on brand initiatives and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory and/or management experience in retail apparel or customer service
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales budgets and KPI targets
- Strong people management and team leadership capabilities
- Proficiency in stock management and visual merchandising
- Experience with POS systems and retail management software
- Knowledge of shrinkage reduction and loss prevention
- Ability to conduct mystery shop analysis and performance reviews
Skills
Experience
Previous supervisory and/or management experience in the retail apparel industry or customer service sector is essential. Experience in managing KPIs including sales budgets, wage control, UPT, conversion rates, average transaction value, shrinkage, and mystery shop audits is required.
Education
Secondary school qualification or equivalent; retail management certification or equivalent professional development is preferred.
