The Store Manager leads by example to deliver Tommy Hilfiger’s in-store standards, customer experience and commercial goals. Responsibilities span sales and expense performance, stock coordination, visual merchandising, reporting, recruitment, team development and store meetings.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with the store management team to develop business opportunities and achieve company standards and goals across sales and wage budgets, sales per hour (SPH), units per transaction (UPT), conversion rate, wage and expense control, shrinkage, mystery shops, store audits and profitability.
- Identify opportunities and collaborate with others to grow the business or improve performance.
- Foster a positive store experience by treating customers and staff fairly and consistently.
- Ensure execution of door-to-floor best practices, visual merchandising directives, and sales-floor and back-room standards; review standards regularly to maintain clear and consistent execution.
- Communicate regularly with the buying team to ensure appropriate stock levels and demographic relevance.
- Analyse store-level reports and develop action plans to improve results.
- Communicate daily with staff about individual sales goals, key performance indicators, store results, product sales and other information that supports exceptional service and goal achievement.
- Manage manpower planning, candidate identification, recruitment, interviews, hiring and orientation.
- Train and coach employees daily, weekly and monthly, ensuring the activity is appropriately documented.
- Lead weekly management and other staff meetings, and participate in and contribute to regional meetings.
- Make commitments and decisions using available information, including under stressful and changing conditions.
- Set challenging but attainable goals focused on service quality, customer satisfaction and financial performance.
- Coordinate action plans while considering their consequences and budget decisions.
- Communicate ideas and goals clearly, oversee their implementation, and manage measurable, achievable results.
- Build energy and excitement around shared goals and values.
Qualifications
- Extensive progressive retail experience.
- Previous store management experience in the service or retail industry.
- Extensive experience connecting with consumers in a brand retailer.
- Previous experience in retail operations, budgeting, planning and sales.
- Previous people management experience, with the ability to resolve conflict and unproductive disagreements purposefully.
