Role & Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient operation of the sales floor to deliver the highest levels of customer service, sales and profit.
• Support the management team in overseeing personnel, product and merchandising functions, business processes and store results.
• Participate in weekly management and other staff meetings.
• Clearly communicate marketing and sales promotions to staff.
• Drive sales and exceed store targets by motivating the team while providing customers with an exemplary store experience.
• Foster a positive store experience by treating customers and colleagues fairly and consistently.
• Support delivery of the business strategy and ensure consistent team training in product knowledge and store maintenance.
• Meet company standards and goals for personal sales results, including sales versus budget, sales per hour and units per transaction.
• Perform manager-on-duty duties, oversee store opening and closing, and manage the sales floor.
• Focus staff on building quality relationships with internal and external customers.
• Hold staff accountable for building a repeat customer base through unparalleled, spirited service.
• Ensure execution of visual merchandising directives and “door to floor” best practices across the sales floor and back room, reviewing them regularly for consistency.
• Work with the management team to develop a talent pool for key positions, including potential successors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in supervisory or specialist roles within a premium or luxury brand.
• Previous people-management experience, including the ability to resolve conflict and unproductive disagreements.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to build relationships with ease.
• A collaborative approach and recognition of colleagues’ contributions and achievements.
• Confidence in providing feedback that promotes positive behavioural change.
• Ability to adapt quickly and work at pace through change.
• Energy, authenticity and a clear presence on the sales floor.
• A proactive, can-do approach and initiative in finding in-store solutions.
