The Product Specialist owns expertise for an assigned category, advising customers, driving sales, supporting team development and maintaining stock and merchandising standards at Tommy Hilfiger’s Bicester outlet. This is a full-time role.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the expert for an assigned product category, such as suiting, denim or underwear, and provide personalized styling advice.
  • Tailor shopping experiences to customers’ individual needs and preferences.
  • Recommend product combinations and complete outfits suited to customers’ needs.
  • Support the training of new Sales Associates by sharing product knowledge, styling tips and customer-service techniques.
  • Drive sales in the assigned category, meeting and exceeding individual and department targets.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of category fabrics, fits, styles and care instructions.
  • Stay informed about new arrivals, online availability, trends and industry developments to strengthen personal and team product knowledge.
  • Use sales tools, including the S&A app and omni-channel services, to enhance customer service and optimize sales opportunities.
  • Know the best sellers and share that knowledge with the team.
  • Help maintain category stock levels, ensuring high-demand products are available and accurately represented on the sales floor.
  • Give management regular feedback on stock availability, customer preferences and product opportunities, and suggest ways to prevent stock risks or missed sales.
  • Keep the product category organized and visually appealing in line with the brand’s luxury image.
  • Manage stock replenishment accurately to maintain product availability, size integrity and visual appeal on the sales floor.
  • Work closely with the sales team to deliver an exceptional customer experience and achieve sales targets.
  • Share product expertise with colleagues to develop their skills and confidence in selling the category.
  • Lead by example in upholding the brand’s image and service standards through excellent customer service, professionalism and teamwork.
  • Mentor and guide junior associates, supporting their training and development.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail sales or a similar customer-facing role, preferably in a luxury environment.
  • Deep knowledge and expertise in the assigned product category, such as suiting, denim or underwear.
  • Exceptional customer-service skills, with the ability to provide personalized styling advice and build strong customer relationships.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to share product knowledge effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Goal-oriented, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining the brand’s luxury standards.
  • Prior experience with sales tools and inventory management systems is a plus.
