Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient shop floor operations to achieve highest levels of customer service, sales, and profitability
- Support management team in overseeing personnel, product, and merchandising functions, and store business processes
- Communicate daily with staff regarding individual sales goals, key performance indicators, store results, and product information
- Conduct one-minute meetings at shift end to summarise performance, provide constructive feedback, and recognition
- Execute and model company best practices in customer service, store operations, loss prevention, and point-of-sale systems
- Achieve personal sales targets including sales versus budgeted goals, sales per hour, and units per transaction
- Respond to and communicate competitive and community market intelligence to Store Manager
- Foster quality relationships between staff and internal/external customers
- Manage customer complaints promptly and effectively
- Analyse store-level reports and develop action plans to improve results
- Communicate operational issues and priorities to Store Manager
- Perform manager-on-duty functions including store opening/closing and sales floor management
