Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject-matter expert for voluntary and regulatory ESG reporting, maintaining an integrated inventory of applicable reporting standards, regulatory requirements, rater and ranker methodologies, public target KPIs, material topics and risks, and priority customer disclosure requirements.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in ESG reporting standards and global legislation with Legal, Finance, Corporate Responsibility Global Affairs and regional teams; assess applicability, gaps, risks and operational impacts, and recommend reporting positions and priorities to the Director.
  • Manage the high-level ESG reporting operating model and annual requirements architecture, including scope, workstreams, RACI, governance forums, escalation pathways, resource constraints and handoffs; translate approved requirements and milestone logic for the ESG Reporting Project Management Specialist’s detailed planning and execution.
  • Lead the annual data feasibility and reporting readiness process with Corporate Responsibility leadership and data and process owners; define ESG data requirements, definitions, evidence expectations, management review procedures and technical guidance, resolve interpretation issues, and confirm readiness.
  • Lead technical delivery of voluntary and regulatory disclosures, including the annual Corporate Responsibility Report, ratings and rankings submissions, and applicable climate and ESG regulations such as ESRS/CSRD; own requirement interpretation, content and data quality criteria, management review and final subject-matter review of Corporate Responsibility inputs.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with priority ESG raters, rankers and reporting frameworks, including ISS, in collaboration with the Director; lead methodology discussions, scorecard and assessment reviews, clarification and challenge processes, feedback meetings and relationship planning.
  • Lead ESG reporting benchmarking, gap analysis and external intelligence across disclosure practices, rater and ranker methodologies, and peer performance; translate findings into recommendations for annual reporting priorities, process improvements and engagement strategy.
  • Own ESG reporting SOPs, RACI, controls and documentation standards; partner with the ESG Controller, Finance, Legal, Internal Audit and assurance providers to strengthen evidence, reconciliation, management review and third-party assurance readiness.
  • Lead business and functional requirements for ESG reporting technology and content management systems, including Workiva; define taxonomy, workflow, access, control, evidence and adoption requirements, and partner with IT and Finance.
  • Lead the annual multi-year operational improvement roadmap; integrate new regulatory, customer and external-rating requirements into scalable processes, identify capacity and risk issues, and collaborate on process changes.
  • Advise the Director on reporting risks, emerging requirements, external stakeholder concerns and escalation decisions; prepare clear recommendations and support executive governance updates.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ownership of complex cross-functional reporting operations in a global, matrixed organization; experience with regulatory ESG disclosures, external rater and ranker engagement, audit or assurance, or controls is strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of voluntary ESG reporting frameworks and standards, including GRI, ISSB/SASB, TCFD and related climate and sustainability disclosure requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of the global regulatory ESG reporting landscape, including the ability to assess applicability and interpret requirements with Legal and Finance.
  • Ability to translate standards, regulations and rater and ranker methodologies into operational requirements, data definitions, controls, review criteria and decision-ready recommendations.
  • Experience designing and operating ESG reporting governance, SOPs, RACI models, management review procedures and assurance-ready control processes.
  • Experience managing external rater, ranker and reporting-framework relationships, including methodology analysis, score review, clarification, challenge and feedback processes.
  • Strong program governance and operational planning skills, including establishing scope, workstreams, decision rights, quality gates and escalation criteria.
  • Strong analytical judgment and quality-review skills, including identifying reporting gaps, data risks, inconsistencies and control weaknesses and driving resolution.
  • Executive-level written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to explain complex requirements, influence senior stakeholders and represent the company externally.
  • Ability to lead through influence across a global matrix and provide technical direction to project managers and data and process owners without formal reporting authority.
