Role & Responsibilities

  • Create strategic financial plans supporting company objectives and brand goals from top-down and bottom-up perspectives at division, department, and class levels

  • Partner with allocation teams daily to ensure product strategies are executed to store level
  • Coordinate with production teams on projections and buy passoffs
  • Meet with planning team to review historical performance at category and key item levels prior to seasonal planning
  • Participate in buy reviews with merchants, planners, and allocators to ensure appropriate breadth, depth, and execution
  • Lead and facilitate buy finalization meetings with merchants to review pre-season plans and identify risks and opportunities
  • Develop, train, and lead planning team members
  • Create dynamic team environment encouraging collaboration and creativity within business unit and across brands
  • Identify top talent and infuse new bench strength to support succession planning
  • Provide consistent and timely feedback to direct reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5–7 years of merchandise planning experience; 7–10 years of total work experience
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills

  • Strategic forecasting and financial planning capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience presenting and recommending strategies and building business cases
