Role & Responsibilities
- Take direction from Senior Design leads and develop independent vision and voice in design direction and inspiration
- Translate trend and market research into innovative, brand-appropriate styles and designs
- Create repeat patterns, textile designs, and graphic motifs aligned with brand creative direction and seasonal collections
- Prepare production-ready artwork and pattern files ensuring technical accuracy and manufacturability
- Analyze past best-sellers and worst-sellers to inform future design development
- Review SKU plans to determine design requirements for upcoming seasons
- Develop digital sketches and translate creative concepts into cohesive, commercially relevant collections
- Coordinate pattern work reviews with the Raw Materials team
- Develop new trims, waistbands, and button specifications
- Utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create trim development artwork
- Create and maintain accurate, production-ready Tech Packs in Centric PLM with complete BOM documentation
- Review strike-offs required for New York Office approval
- Coordinate new development handoff with technical and design teams
- Participate in seasonal trend presentations using Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and PowerPoint
- Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization to ensure alignment from concept through execution
- Contribute creative ideas, fresh perspectives, and innovative solutions to elevate brand and design processes
- Attend all design fittings
- Coordinate accurate information to Product Development for line list setup
- Travel to market shops and present product to key retailers as applicable
- Prepare and present compelling product presentations to Sales and Cross-Functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 4 to 5 years of related design experience
- Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Independent decision-maker with critical thinking capabilities
- Highly creative design sensibility with ability to drive commercial newness
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple seasons and brands simultaneously within established deadlines
- Strong color sense and ability to develop core and seasonal color palettes
- Detail-oriented with strong observational skills

Experience
4 to 5 years of related design experience in apparel or product development, with demonstrated expertise in men's intimates or similar categories. Proven track record of translating trend research into commercially viable collections and managing concurrent design cycles for multiple brand lines.
