Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Senior Design Manager and VP Design to interpret seasonal concepts, color palettes, and key item direction for the North America market
- Leverage global EU design direction and curated styles selected by SVP Merchandising Leadership
- Create and illustrate cohesive product groups incorporating solids, stripes, and novelty designs with proficiency in color theory, materials, garment construction, and brand identity
- Multi-task across multiple seasons simultaneously, balancing in-season execution with forward-looking concepting
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners to obtain original samples, artwork, and cost information; modify designs to meet aesthetic and margin targets
- Generate detailed technical drawings for tech packs and ensure data accuracy in BOMs utilizing PLM system (Centric)
- Manage ongoing design updates and communication with product development partners and vendors
- Identify and leverage opportunities to align fabric and trim across channels
- Maintain library of artwork updates and CAD files, ensuring style and color accuracy across all systems and presentations
- Operate virtual presentation tools and build digital boards for internal and external stakeholder use
- Attend and participate in fittings; collaborate with Technical Design to ensure fit intent and construction quality
- Review and approve lab dips, handlooms, wash panels, and pre-production samples, including additional colorways
- Contribute to development and post-prototype meetings; ensure feedback is documented, communicated, and actioned
- Monitor alignment on key calendar milestones and proactively resolve potential delays
- Prepare and present compelling design boards and product reviews to leadership and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Fashion Design
- 4+ years of professional experience in sweaters design
- Proficient knowledge of design software including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, and PLM/Web PDM systems
- Demonstrated understanding of the design process and inherent design sensibility
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management capabilities
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Solution-oriented mindset with demonstrated passion for supporting team goals
- Creative problem-solving skills applied to process optimization
- Experience with 3D design software is a plus
